「曖昧さ」を楽しむ

『教育心理学―発達と学習を援助する 』という古い本を読みました。 20年近く前の本ですが、やはり色々と発見があります。この頃から既に「受験教育って偏りすぎだよねぇ」と指摘されているんですね。 本書では、広い意味での「真の学力」を、以下の９つに分類しています。 1. 日常的認知と学校内学力 面白いと思ったのは、能力観・勉強観・教科観のような"ものの見方"がとても重要視されていることです。単なる知識やスキルではなく、Mindset的な要素も「学力」として捉えているのはとても共感しました。 +++ 更に興味深かったのは、「体験力」という言葉です。体験力とは、受験で求められる「情報処理能力」の正反対の力として説明されています。あまり使われない言葉だと思いますが、体験そのものに取り組む態度や、その体験の中で学んだり、新たに問題を発見したりする力として定義されているようです。 この体験力の構成要素のひとつに「曖昧さ耐性」というのがあります。 曖昧さ耐性とは、文字通り「曖昧さ」に耐える力のことです。"体験"というのは書籍や講義と違って体系的に整理されておらず、必ずしもスムーズに自分の中に知識として取り込むことが出来るとは限りません。 自分にとって強烈な体験をしたはずなのに、「そこで何を学んだか？」と聞かれたらうまく言葉に出来ない...ということはよくありますよね。ワークショップなどでもよくあると思います。 そうした、何かを体験した時の「モヤモヤ」とした曖昧な状態に耐えながら、しかしただ耐えるだけではなく能動的にその体験を少しずつ消化していく力を「曖昧さ耐性」と呼ぶのだそうです。 この曖昧さ耐性というのはワークショップという学びのスタイルにフィットする人を判断する一つの基準になりそうです。 大学院に入ってからの研究生活もまさに答えの見えない「曖昧」な日々ですが、そうした曖昧さを「耐える」のではなく「楽しみ」ながら学んで行きたいと思います。 ｜コメント(9) ｜トラックバック(0)｜教育・学習｜書評｜
